Concept Overview:

“Spin & Spill: Scottsdale” is a live, reality-style podcast that combines the thrill of ride-sharing with the unpredictability of a classic party game: spin the bottle.

Passengers step into a specially equipped Uber, not knowing that their ride will be broadcast live and packed with unexpected twists.

The premise merges the random encounters of ride-sharing with playful adult challenges.

Think truth-or-dare meets a talk show, with the intimate vibe of a late-night podcast.

We All Know How This Ends…

The passengers get to spin a virtual bottle on the in-car tablet, which determines their “dare” or “truth” prompt.

These prompts could range from personal confessions to quirky challenges—like serenading a stranger or sharing a secret talent.

Show Format

1. The Setup

  1. Host/Driver: The host doubles as the Uber driver, controlling the energy and guiding the show. They keep the conversation flowing, manage the dares, and ensure a comfortable vibe.
  2. Mobile Studio: The car is rigged with discreet cameras and microphones, ensuring high-quality audio and video while preserving an intimate atmosphere.
  3. Virtual Bottle: A digital spinner on a touchscreen device generates random prompts for the riders.

2. Key Segments

  1. Spin & Spill: Riders spin the virtual bottle. It lands on either “truth,” “dare,” or “wild card.” The prompts can be spicy (but PG-13), thought-provoking, or hilariously ridiculous.
  2. Rider Reactions: The host engages the rider with follow-up questions, diving into their reactions and adding comedic commentary.
  3. Audience Input: Live listeners can submit truth/dare ideas via a companion app, making it interactive and engaging for fans.
  4. Ride Roulette: Once per episode, the host can “randomly” redirect the Uber to an interesting local spot or surprise guest pick-up.

3. Monetization Strategies

  1. Live Tips: Audience members can tip riders during live streams for particularly bold or entertaining moments.
  2. Sponsored Spins: Prompts can be sponsored by brands. For example, a dare might involve using a product or visiting a specific location.
  3. Merchandising: Branded items like “Spin & Spill” T-shirts, bottle spinners, and themed Uber decals.
  4. Premium Content: Exclusive “after-dark” dares or extended rider interviews available behind a paywall.
